Brad, and Cindy, Thank you so much for a wonderful time. It was so much more than I had hoped. You hear so much about the fishing in Guatemala,  but nothing prepares you for the reality. Brad was brilliant, and so good about sharing his knowledge, and giving us advise, preparing us for the competition.  I really hope that I have the opportunity to go back again. It was a dream come true.  The accommodation was also great. So comfortable, with everything we could possibly need. Your family went out of your way to make sure that we had the best time possible. We felt like a part of the family. All the very best for the season, and we will see you when you are back. Brad & Cindy, What an operation! From your beautiful casa in Antigua to the swank Villa on the coast, the accommodations we wonderful and the staff friendly and uber attentive. And then there was the fishing... Congratulations Brad for crushing the competition for a second straight year in the No Sancocho Sailfish Shootout Tournament, Guatemala 2019. Phenomenal fishing over 3 days with 45 sails and 8 marlin releases for your fishing team. Although I was only shooting images, you and your crew made me feel like part of the team. Now it's my turn! WOW! Is all I can say.  What an unbelievable fishery they have down there.  We fished 'The No Sancocho Sailfish Shootout Tournament, Guatemala 2019 organized by Guatemalan Billfishing Adventures and hosted by Casa Vieja Lodge aboard 'The Decisive' with Capt. Brad Philipps and Team BAMBOO and had an outstanding tournament. We took home First Place with 43 Sailfish and 8 Blue Marlin and I missed enough fish to hopefully pay for a few desk and chairs for the Guatemalan schools.  Thank you so much Brian and Bill Canida, it was an awesome experience.  One I will never forget. We caught blue marlin, striped marlin, big dolphins, yellowfins, and of course plenty of big Pacific sailfish. We were even lucky enough to catch a Guatemalan slam one day! I have been visiting Guatemala since 2004 and have , except for my first time, always fished with Brad and been hosted by Cindy. My first time fishing in Guatemala before I met Brad , was not a roaring success as in those days the options to stay in and around the port were not so numerous. All that changed when I started fishing with Guatemalan Billfishing Adventures. The boat, crew and the lodgings and arrangements are the best in Guatemala , just look at the web page!! Guatemala has a FANTASTIC fishery that all the captains work tirelessly to protect, that is why it is the best . Fishing is fishing as they say , and some days are better than others. In Guatemala I have had some unbelievable days and even a bad one has produced fish. I love the place so much I decided to take my family there for my 60th birthday . I wanted a Marlin and Brad and his team worked tirelessly to produce one for me , a memorable experience. My third in those waters. Cant count the number of sail fish , but it is well in the hundreds and Cindy even organised a Rooster Fish trip once for me and some mates ...they are there to make the holiday you want. Its not just about the people though , its about the experience . Brad runs a great boat and has a great team , but Cindy looks after the guests . You feel special, pampered and the Billfish Inn and the house in Antigua, are just fantastic. Over the years and many trips I have introduced many people to the best fishing spot in the world for Billfish. Many have gone back. It is truly an experience not to have on your bucket list and one you will not forget. One thing , as a result of the time I have spent is the friendship me and my family have built with Brad , Cindy and their lovely kids . It is not just about the boat, the captain or the places you stay ...it is how you are welcomed. It is my home away from home !!! I have watched them from more or less when they started to where they are now ..you need to be good as a team , to be the best Captain there year after year. Eyes closed, one of the best bill-fishing experiences in this world we live in. Numbers don’t lie. And to top that of, the service from the staff at their lodge  Billfish Inn -Guatemalan Billfishing Adventures!, exquisite food (those ribs, those tacos ohhh boy!!!) and great facilities 7 minutes from the marina, really second to none. An Outstanding operation. Capt Brad Philipps and Cindy Philipps are both top guns in their games!!!! Can’t wait to be back!!!!! Their boat 'The Decisive' and the Crew, well we don’t even need to talk about world record breaker Gamefisherman....

Amazing experience. Excellent service!! Gourmet dinning. Good fishing! Even better company! What more could you ask for!?!
