With contagious charisma and energy, Waldo Alfaro takes command of the "Decisive", who has earned the trust of his bosses and has been led by Captain Brad Philipps himself. His reputation as a sport fishing Captain among local Navy crews has shown the ability he has as a Captain. Born and raised in Guatemala, he was drawn to the ocean from an early age, captivated by its mysteries. From a very young age, they are introduced to the world of sport fishing, being the parent company of sailfish. His journey as a professional fisherman and captain began over several years ago and eventually led him to the Captain's chair of the 'Decisive' located in Marina Pez Vela of Puerto Quetzal on the Pacific Coast of Guatemala. Since before taking the helm, he has been guiding avid anglers on unforgettable fishing adventures, and we at Guatemalan Billfishing Adventures are thrilled to have him on board with us.

Captain Waldo has extensive knowledge and experience in Sport Fishing. It can guide you step by step to teach you the process of fly fishing, a phenomenal attraction for all anglers who have already released so many fish in conventional fishing.

Whether catching countless sailfish and marlin, as well as fighting tuna or dorado that are never lacking in good dishes, Waldo will take them to the bite wherever they are.

Kids U12 don't pay for their time fishing aboard the boat, they get charged US$600 for their Meal/Accommodation Package

Non-Anglers will get charged US$ 1,710 for the Package  

The Captain who is bringing much value to our team.  The "Decisive" got major upgrades in October 2023 with new generator, electronics, A/C's, refrigeration, tackle, paint and comfort upgrades.  There is nothing like a 40ft Gamefisherman boat and the "Decisive" will be better than ever before.
