The sailfish are still biting, we released 26 yesterday aboard Decisive, plus some big dorado. The seas are flat calm and anglers having a blast!

The rich Pacific Ocean off Guatemala, is a fishermen's paradise and I keep reminding myself how grateful I am to have been able to have skippered here for 18 seasons now. The tuna's were balling and busting and spinner dolphins working, all at 15 miles today. Not to mention the sailfish and dorado. We are blessed!

We had only seen a blue and released one sail by almost lunchtime yesterday, then the floodgates opened after a small move! Ended up releasing 35 sails from 50 bites. A whole new batch of aggressive fish... great day!

Meet Jay Dewing! Thank you Jay for inspiring other anglers like you! Jay comes to practice#flyfishingonce a year with Capt Brad Philipps, who has a remarkable average on the fly, 7 sailfish releases a day. His top day is 51 releases on the fly rod for a single angler, all IGFA.

Meet Henry Robert Jackson, a lovely boy from Louisiana, with#10 years old, got to release his first Billfish with Capt Brad Philipps’s. Henry came with his little brother Charles, 7 years old and both his parents. Mom was on the boat every day, not missing a single second!

Another 15 sails released yesterday and a photo of our bill-less blue marlin from the day before! Not something you see everyday! Well healed bill, probably happened when the fish was young, but some fairly recent marks from something else, but fish looked fat and healthy and was released in 10 minutes in fine form by 12 year old Evan!
